The Doris Robb Gabay primary school in Puerto Cabezas was chosen
partly because a member of our congregation attended school there as a child. She also took the picture of the school
shown above and talked of how severe the damage was when she visited.
The villages of Sukatpin, Yulu
Tingni, Auhya Pihni, Wawa Bum and Dakban were chosen because Moravian Board of World Mission recognized
a great need to help there. A Nicaraguan youth-based group called "New Strength for Nicaragua" has been milling
wood in these villages to clean up the fallen lumber and use it for rebuilding. People gather together for worship after
their hard day of work.
